MISSION

GASP empowers school psychologists to promote the learning, behavior, and mental health of children and youth in a dynamic educational environment.

Integrity:   GASP will promote and maintain the highest standards of ethics, training, and professional practices in the provision of psychological services in the schools in the state of Georgia.

Advocacy:   GASP will promote and advance equitable education and mental health in order to influence outcomes, positively affecting the lives of children, youth, families, and the school communities we serve.

A Focus on Children and Youth:   GASP prioritizes the needs of children, youth, and families while assisting in the development of sound educational and mental health practices.

Continuous Improvement:  GASP sets challenging objectives, researches current trends, and evaluates the effectiveness of organizational processes and professional practices.

Diversity:   GASP honors individual, cultural, and other contextual differences in our own interactions and as they shape students' development.

Collaborative Relationships:   GASP partners with other student-focused educational and support organizations to improve the education and mental health of children.
