Picture Vocabulary Acquisition Test (PVAT) & Online Assessment Center
This workshop will cover the newly released Picture Vocabulary Acquisition Test (PVAT) developed by Dr. Sam Ortiz. The Ortiz PVAT is the first receptive vocabulary assessment that can be used to fairly and accurately assess both English speakers and English learners. With unique dual norms, the Ortiz PVAT makes it possible to evaluate an individual from any language background, determine whether an individual’s English vocabulary performance follows expected patterns or is suggestive of a language problem or disorder. The second part of the workshop will cover the MHS online assessment center with uses and features available with it and streamlining testing. Earn 5 contact hours. GASP is a NASP Approved Provider.

11:30-12:45-LUNCH on your own- several close by restaurants (Applebees, Crackerbarrel, Houlihans, Perkins, Flacos Tacos)
1:00-3:30-PVAT Wrap-up and then Introduction and Overview of MHS online assessments Questions and Answers?
